Meet Danielle

While working as an environmental technologist during my first pregnancy, I had the opportunity to experience a massage that profoundly impacted me. I was not only impressed by the massage itself but also inspired by the prospect of becoming a massage therapist. The ability to directly assist individuals, alleviate their pain, and contribute to their overall well-being strongly appealed to me. This led me to pursue further education in massage therapy, where I excelled and graduated with honors.

Following my studies, I successfully passed the examination with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and embarked on a rewarding new career as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). This transition proved to be incredibly fulfilling. My passion for the profession grew, and I was fortunate to have the opportunity to teach in the accelerated massage therapy program at Algonquin College, where I had the pleasure of working alongside some of the educators who had taught me.

Eventually, I chose to focus exclusively on my home-based clinic. To ensure I could provide the best care for clients with cancer, I pursued additional training to enhance my skills in treating such conditions safely and effectively. This ongoing education allowed me to refine my techniques and expand my capabilities.

Driven by a desire to further support my clients, I explored health coaching and completed the Health Coach Professional program at York University, earning certification through the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches (NBHWC). I now combine my expertise as a massage therapist and health coach, serving clients from my home-based clinic in Ottawa.

I’m passionate about nurturing both health and creativity in my personal life. Gardening in my allotment and at home allows me to grow fresh, delicious vegetables for my family, while also cultivating a pollinator garden that fosters a deeper connection with nature. I practice yoga regularly to stretch and strengthen my body, which has helped me navigate life’s challenges.

I love camping in Hastings Highlands with my family. It’s a wonderful way to slow down and connect with the people I love and the stunning nature around us. Over the years, I have also expressed my creativity doing crafts like pottery, crochet, stained glass, and embroidery. These activities not only enrich my life but also inspire my approach to health and wellness.
